Carillons

A carillon is a musical instrument that consists of a set of well-tuned bells which can be hand played by a typical baton keyboard. The keys of such a keyboard are connected mechanically to the clappers of the bells.

We operate from Flandres, in the ‘Low Countries’, the cradle of the carillon. It is here that, in the 16th century, the art of tuning the bells has developped. Carillons were installed in city belfries and churches as a prestigious musical instrument. The proximity of numerous historical carillons is related intrinsically with our product development, which ranges from traditional bell carillons and tower bells to electronic carillons.
